Poster series: Popular TV shows

These gorgeous minimalist posters were designed by graphic designer/art director Albert Exergian, who lives and works in Vienna, Austria.

Apart from his commercial work, he often takes on personal, non commercial projects, such as this one. It is really impressive how Exergian has the ability to determine the characterizing image of something so visually complex as a tv series.

Add a great use of colour and typography, and you have a winner.

Update: Albert sent us an email; his posters are now available for sale at Blanka.

  1. I don’t get Monk, House, or Mad Men. Must be because I don’t watch those shows. Could anyone please explain?

  2. Monk: He is extremely compulsive and cripplingly germ-o-phobic, so a little hair like that would freak him out.

Mad Men: A tumbler of brown liquor of some sort, representing the heavy daylong drinking of the characters.

House: I don’t watch this show myself, but House apparently has a large tennis ball or stress ball of these colors on his desk.

  3. P.S. Thanks for posting these. All are awesome. They rank up there with the Saul Bass-style “Star Wars” credits (search YouTube if you’ve not seen them).

  4. I absolutely love this posters! Perfect job.

  5. Beautiful stuff. Not sure why he didn’t do a walking-stick handle or something for House, but maybe theres a deeper meaning I’m missing…

  6. I think House’s is perfect, he gets all the ideas while playing with the tennis balll. A walking stick would be too obvious.

  9. Arrogant, superficial, boring, thoughtless and self indulgent. Does not represent any of the series, and its all one style for so many different tv shows.

  10. the House graphic also reminds me of a pill…
