Top
The Top lamp series is the first mass-produced design by Tham & Videgard Arkitekter for Zero.
Top lamp has a simple design made out of a sheet of metal, folded into a pyramid-shape. To diffuse the light, it uses a layer of translucent plastic.
Interestingly, the designers gave the user an original and very simple way to personalize each lamp. Just tilt one of the corners with a wire to direct the light in different angles and get different effects.
Top lamp is available in black or white.

I like the tilt option, the scale and the attachment detail. I think it would be softer and less angular in the white finish.
I dig it. Nice to have more light on one side of the room, and less on the other. Would go well in a “trophy room” where you want the focus on a particular part of the room.
I really like the matte black finish with the white translucent, very classy.
not bad. seems as if folded metal is really common in furniture design right now.

How is the corner-lifting wire attached at its upper end? Too close to the main cord will make directing the light difficult.
