Mrs Bill

The Mrs Bill collection, designed by Mick Born for Karl Andersson & Sönner, features a really interesting alternative to door handles.

This kind of minimalist furniture usually works with chamfer edges or a similar solution, but Mrs Bill has been designed with upturned corners on the doors. A really simple, smart and elegant solution!

The collection includes a great variety of items like cabinets, dressers, bookshelves… They come in different sizes, and surfaces vary from lacquered finishes to wood veneers.

  1. Now that is a nice example of viable minimalism: a creative twist, solving an old problem with the slightest detail. Just enough visual to indicate its use. Enhances common behavior (grab the door itself instead of a gratuitous handle) which designers always overlook. Bravo.

  2. - my kind of world ! stunning, one day all handles will be this simple (I hope)

  3. Exelent! Clear and understandable….

  4. Really nice! Almost organic looking the way it curves slightly outward.

  5. really amazing and creative also i said what couldnt i thpught before that makes it simple

  6. Probably every person in any developed country have had to deal with a knob it handle “unscrewing” and then needed to tighten it up again just to have it unscrew two weeks later.
Mrs Bill is the end of this horrible unscrewing time period of the human race!

  7. This concept with the bend in the material as a knob is not a new concept. I know Designer Antoni Casadesusfrom Barcelona has had this design for years. Regardless, an interestingminimalistic concept. I have always liked it.
