Close to the end of 2010, Swatch released the New Gent collection. New Gent is a new version of the classic Swatch Gent. Most prominently, it’s a bit bigger.
With its sober, light and comfortable design, the New Gent is a welcome alternative to the oversized, feature-packed, expensive watches. Swatch understands classic and contemporary design.
The New Gent has the unique quality that it fits with any style, from sport to smart. It’s available in ten combinations, raging from full black to full white, with light contrasts of colour in between.

I would like to have the green one. This watch would be my “fancy dinner watch” :)
I do like the full black, full grey and full white (providing they are easy to read in person). I don’t, however, like the the mixed colour watches purely from an aesthetic sense (although I can appreciate they are easier to read).
What’s with this site and watches? Anyhow. This one looks cheap, unsophisticated and not much different from all the other subprime product SWATCH drowns the market in. Occasionally they get it right. Very right. But so not now. Gentlemen: Get a watch, indeed. A watch that looks classic and works well enough for you to be able to hand it down to your kids one day. That’s minimalistic in spirit.
Better yet, don’t wear a watch. As if your kids are going to tolerate single function devices.
@Orestes: Everything doesn’t have to multitask. And quite apart from this; The watch, perhaps along with the wedding ring, is one of very few accessories available to men who do not wish to look like christmas trees.
@Carl I agree, I prefer full black or white, of course, they are more minimalist even.
@Art Yes, too many posts about watches coincided last weeks… I will not write more about them for a while.
Thank you for your comments!
taken !!!!! total black and total white … obviously
I haven’t worn a watch for years…but maybe I should give the white one a try. (pre-non watch days, I did actually wear a Swatch so maybe it’s a sign!)

I like it. Honestly, does an object have to be greytone to be minimalist?
Instead of this I would go for the Uniform Wares 100 series.

They look better, less cheap and at least you don’t have to say you are wearing a swatch when people ask you about your watch.
@Major Bummer. Oh yes, those are sweet :)
Aesthetically minimal. I actually just bought the full black one. You have to tilt the watch a bit to read the date and the time but still very functional. It’s great for casual wear and even formal wear if you’re not interested in sporting a higher caliber brand and just want it to…disappear. Plus it’s thin enough to tuck away under the sleeve when wanted.
I want the 4th one from the left in the top row, it is black with a greenish face. I really like it. I had two swatches in the past, and I really loved them. I think this one is so elegant. Debra
Besides telling you the one I wanted, they are all really cute, and I am so glad I found this site!
