All About Tea

All About Tea is an expert wholesale tea distributor based in Portsmouth, UK. They source their tea from remote regions, to bring the best of the worlds flavours to a large audience.

Moving Brands were tasked with creating a new identity that would stand out. The identity needed to work effectively across their existing wholesale market, and enable them to grow into retail channels. It was also vital to communicate the founder’s passion for the art of tea.

I like it very much, such a minimal and modern identity for a tea brand will clearly make a differentiation in store.

  1. The stationary is fantastic. What a smart logo.

  2. The branding is very well done. Being from the UK, I’ll certainly look out for this.

  3. totally love it :)

  4. Im a huge fan of minimalism and tea, but I surprisingly find that the two do not go together in my opinion. I suppose its because I view tea as a product with a strong flavor, smell, and rich quality and that the minimalists approach to branding tea strips away the visual aroma that ought to represent the product I buy.
I am even a little bummed that the images of tea are mixed with cream/milk… the beautiful clear tones of amber and red are not seen, it looks more like chocolate milk so I do not quite understand how they call that ‘proper tea served here’ unless their intention was to show tea already mixed with cream/milk.
Perhaps someone can give me a reason as to how minimalism can enrich the tea I would purchase from this company.

  5. Very accomplished design, I am impressed at the ability of your company to get the message across while still keeping to minimalist tradition. However I would agree with Ieva’s comment that minimalism and tea are pretty dissimilar.

I think that the strong typography helps a lot in bringing attention to the brand, however I can’t help but think about a comment that AIGA Minnesota made a couple of weeks ago, “Who hasn’t done minimalism.”

Don’t get me wrong though, I think that you did an excellent job in the execution and development of this identity system. It is very professionally done, and very well refined.

  6. _”Who hasn’t done minimalism” – seems that due to the same old thought processes being implemented time and time again that nobody has done tea and minimalism, so if it fits, why not…

_The clients seem to love it and so do the customers. Check out their case study http://vimeo.com/22694374

_ieva – minimalism will not enrich the tea you purchase, branding can never do that, but it can give you some stand out in a market cliches. Best of all – it lets the product do the talking.

  7. Love the packaging, the online shop service is terrible. If you’re ordering for a gift then make sure it’s at least a month in advance.

  8. I love the modern looking packaging that they use on their products. Really well thought out design, minamalistic and simple. I like their branding for Proper Tea Served Here.
