Sonos is a California-based company working pioneering wireless technology, applied to their home sound systems for music, movies and TV, through different models of speakers wonderfully designed to be used over streaming services and its own dedicated app.
Recently, the company commissioned creative studios Socio Design and Hype Type Studio to redesign the global packaging system for all their products that feature a striking and minimalist approach. Socio Design explain:
We looked to rationalise the existing scheme, introducing a stripped-back approach to typography, photography and colour, with a simple black and white colour-coding system to reflect the product within.
The products and the brand are the absolute protagonists with regard to packaging design. What more do you need when you have such well designed products, as well an exceptionally developed brand? This collaborative effort has been done with clarity and harmony, carefully considered and with an exceptionally well executed design direction.
