Superkül is one of the most progressive architectural firms in Canada, which after a ten year career, have decided to produce a new brand identity in collaboration with Toronto-based graphic design studio Blok Design. A little more insight into the design approach, the studio describes the characteristics of this rebranding:
We created a sensual conversation and interplay between process, colour, shape and materiality, inspired by the balance of subtlety and spatial richness found in the firm’s work, and the purity of their own geometric forms. Within the design can be found a series of deliberate ‘unoccupied spaces’, a reflection of the fact that architecture is as much about the spaces in-between as the built form.
A variety of polygons have been added to the clean and minimalist identity that gives the architects a recognisable and dynamic presence, which has been utilised as a graphical elements throughout the firm’s stationery—wordmark, business cards, notebooks, packaging, and website—exceptionally designed featuring elegant and subtle grey tones.
