Elephant Sofa is a minimalist sofa by Portuguese designer Christian Haas for Japanese furniture company Karimoku New Standard, designed to function both in private and in public spaces. Christian explains:

The curved armrests invite one to relax and allow different sitting postures. Together with its elaborate details, such as the feet crafted from carved solid wood, they make the sofa a unique piece of furniture.

The collection is available in different colours and compounded by 3-seater, 2-seater, Ottoman and Chaise longue, complementing each other and allowing various combinations and applications.

Karimoku New Standard only uses sustainably sourced Japanese hardwoods, which have been applied to the supporting frame and feet in Japanese oak. Elephant Sofa's upholstery uses Maharam's Mode fabric, which consists of 80% post-consumer recycled polyester.
