Rony Schneider is a graduate from the Department of Visual Communication in Shankar, Israel, and as final project he has created this incredibly beautiful piece of art work: Fold In, Fold Out & A Cut.

This exercise works on the 22 letters of the Hebrew language, simplifying the letters to their most basic structure first, and then recreating them by following a simple set of rules that works in the material itself: fold in, fold out and a cut. Rony explains the process:

In this way I was able to confront and question different dichotomous terms from letter design process such as positive-negative space, black and white balance, line versus shape and to find another way to comprehend letters.

Undoubtedly an intelligent and well executed project that is a great example of how minimalism can be applied.
