Warsaw-based Thisispaper has come a long way. Founded in 2011, the multidisciplinary design studio not only established a beautifully compiled blog, but also a set of invaluable magazines as well as a line of handcrafted minimalist bags and rucksacks. All of this can be either found at their newly opened flagship store or online, in a shop that has been recently relaunched and is absolutely worth a look. Clear cut design and many gorgeous illustrative photos characterise the platform. Always at the centre: The meticulously crafted bags, their charisma and their functionality. Collection 05 is the latest addition to the set, but don’t miss out on the regulars either.
My favourite is the Transfer Bag. With a size and functionality that is rare, its design is perfectly positioned between utility and elegance. The many variations in colour and material allow for a very specific and personal configuration, no matter if you are more into a kinfolk inspired kind of minimalism, or if you belong to the group of people who mostly wear tech black like I do. But that is also true for any other of the excellent bags and rucksacks Thisispaper offers. Check them out!
