For quite a while now, Paco Rabanne has been much more famous for his collection of perfumes than for his fashion. This is a presumption that is definitely worth rethinking. Paco Rabanne defined the future of fashion in the 60s, and since Julien Dossena took over the creative lead in 2013, things are back on that track. Not only did the retro-futuristic collaboration with Peter Saville for Spring 2017 earn a lot of trust into the avant-garde thinking of the brand, the current cruise collection for Resort 2018 is also a blast in minimalist style.

Constructed in graphic outlines, emphasised by cutaway tops and contrasted by sarouel pants, the chainmail that was so characteristic of Paco Rabanne in the 60s is modernised by using knitwear and mesh in technical qualities.

While time has passed and the looks have changed completely since Paco Rabanne himself left the company, Julien Dossena found a marvellous way to lead the heritage of the great designer into the future and still leave his own mark in a sophisticated and elegant way.
