Copenhagen based design studio, Studio C, has produced a wonderful branding project in collaboration with Norm Architects for Sørensen Leather, a Danish design company, focused on quality and craftsmanship.
The identity evolves around the idea of the simple Danish design idiom, but looking for an international appeal. A stand out feature Studio C's the masterful design is the simple and minimalist stamp, that makes reference to the tradition of craftsmanship, where artificers typically marked their products with a recognisable stamp.
By using this reference as a basis for the brand design, Sørensen Leather conveys the message that their product is tangible, yet aesthetically pleasing. This is reinforced by the use of visual elements that primarily focus on leather and quality, more so than the actual piece of furniture or product.
