Origins is an experimental design and fabrication studio based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The studio, co-founded by Deagan McDonald and Kelsey Nilsen, operates at many scales, from small objects to furniture and sculpture.

Over the years, their obsession with light and shadow has moved closer to the forefront of the studio process with a constant exploration of texture and surface.

Origins lives at the intersection of craft and technology, with the goal of designing to align the potential of the digital with the skills and the intuition of the hand.
