Canadian architect Todd Saunders has designed a series of simple clean artist studios on a remote island off Newfoundland in Canada, named the Fogo island.
His dispersed group of sturdy ultra-modern buildings have a shelf life of a few generations or so, after which the buildings are supposed to disintegrate and leave the island devoid of manmade scarring.
I love these minimal and modern buildings respectful of the landscape and environment. More on this project can be found on Edition29 STRUCTURES iPad magazine.
