Trifoglio - a mimimalist, futuristic, fruit bowl - is designed by Switzerland based designer Thomas Walde. Formed out of three identical plates stainless steel -  an enameled version is available aswell - this fruit bowl is "an ode to the triangle". The Trifoglio collection consists of three different sizes.

I like the contrast between the sharp shaped bowl, made of a cold solid material like steel, and the actual content of the bowl; fruit, quite often organic shaped and soft.

Walde, working for the Swiss design studio SEIN, created Trifolgio in the context of design platform Postfossil. In 2009 Trifolgio was showcased at Neue Räume 2009, Switzerland’s international home and furnishings show.
