Inspired by monolithic figures of Easter Island, Polish product designer Michał Tokarski’s Woodturn Mirror has a sculptural yet reduced form. Made with solid wood, expressing long term quality, and majestic stability, the mirror allows for convenient rotation on the table top due to its low centre of gravity.

Designed for Tre Product, the understated mirror is comprises turned and milled solid ash or oak wood, chamfered glass, and features a thin laser cut steel base. It measures w210mm x d195mm x h370mm and is available in black, grey, or natural oak.

Design for me is mainly about finding the balance between form and function. It also entails rejecting the unnecessary and creating things with harmony. The less richness in form, the better awareness of the whole object.
Located in Warsaw, Poland, Michał Tokarski graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Product Design at Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts, Łódź. He is currently studying at Faculty of Design at Academy of Fine Arts.
