Minimalist, retro-styled, city bicycles have become increasingly popular over recent years and it looks like the trend is not over yet. Meet Instrmnt 02; a 2-speed city bicycle designed in collaboration between the bicycle builder Freddie Grubb and Instrmnt.
The goal was to incorporate the ethos of both brands, treating form and function with equal importance. Instrmnt 02 is a beautiful minimalist bicycle stripped from all unnecessary accessories without compromising on comfort.
The Hayward Grey coloured frame is made of double-butted chromoly steel, making the bicycle very durable and light. The top tube is protected with a honey coloured, stitched leather protector that also acts as a carry grip for the hand or shoulder. The handlebar grips and saddle match with the top tube protector and develop a nice patina over the lifetime of the bicycle.
The integrated gear hub features a centrifugal clutch, which changes gear for you based on your speed. The flat handlebar maintains the minimalist aesthetic and provides a more comfortable upright and neutral riding position watching traffic during your daily commute.
Instrmnt 02 will be available mid-November.
