VEARK is a design driven company based in Copenhagen, and have recently unveiled their first product—CK01—which has been launched through Kickstarter. It is a unique and minimal chef’s knife, drop forged from a single piece of stainless steel, created to be your everyday kitchen tool.

The inspiration for the design was drawn from the belief that the knife is a tool—maybe even the most essential tool in one’s kitchen. Based on that idea VEARK took visual cues from the world of traditional metal tools as inspiration for the appearance of the knife, aiming to create a piece that will generate its beauty and character from its raw appearance rather than through additional and superfluous features.

The CK01 features a 20cm (7,9”) blade while the overall length is 32cm (12,6”). Manufactured through a classic drop forging process which takes place in the traditional knife forging town of Solingen, Germany, each knife is left with an individual pattern on the handle, making each CK01 unique—no two are alike.

VEARK’s Kickstarter campaign will run until 9 December, so if you need a sleek, robust, and exceptionally crafted kitchen knife, please show your support.
